There is an awful lot of fake news circulating about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. One video shows masses of people 'leaving' the capital, loads of cars in a traffic jam. That's people going home from work caught up in a normal traffic jam. Open your eyes. Three countries are demanding that Football World cup qualifiers should not be played in Russia??!!?? Really? People are worried about where the world cup qualifiers are being played? There's an invasion taking place and all you can think of is football. Jesus wept. The EU is not prepared for this at all. They are too busy worrying about whether we should call trangenders 'they', 'it', 'us' etc. etc. It's farcical.

i laughed when i saw BBC news earlier, both Boris and Biden said that their response would be "decisive", really? its all words as Putin will do what he has always done and that is whatever the hell he wants to do!

I watched a very long interview with Vladimir Putin on YT this morning. He's not my favourite person in the world and I think invading the Ukraine is just plain wrong but make no mistake, this guy is no fool. And very, very crafty. He is no pushover. And some of his views I actually agree with as weird as that may sound. The EU is too soft on too many topics and there are far too many bureaucrats doing virtually nothing and getting paid a lot of money to do it. Too many senseless directives being issued every month. I have mentioned this next point before; an EU bureaucrat decided that he would try and introduce a bill/directive that would require all motor vehicle drivers (and their passengers no less) to wear full face helmets whilst in their vehicles. The reason? His brother had a business that manufactured full face helmets!! Putin cuts through all that crap, albeit with a very heavy-handed approach, but he gets things done. Some of those things are very, very wrong but some make complete sense to me. It's a strange dichotomy to admire someone for some of his views but at the same time disagree with what he is doing. Maybe I am losing it...
I often wonder what the world would be like if there were no borders, no nations, no passports etc. etc. John Lennon comes to mind...

I have always been fascinated by ancient Egypt and everything that goes with that. After visiting many sites in Egypt I always came away with the feeling that no-one can actually explain how these things were made or even by who. My very unscientific theory is that an advanced culture/race/species existed on earth long before the ancient Egyptians. And no, I am not talking about alien spacemen and all that crap. Some of the blocks in the King's chamber in the Great Pyramid are 60 tons plus! No way in hell some people pulled those blocks up to that height with ropes.
