Virginia native hits the big time at 16, out with third album from the r&b artist trying to resurrect himself from the bad pub following the assault charges against Rihanna. With 2 singles already charting from here, I guess he is forgiven. After all I'm sure he was a victim. About half of these songs he's whining about how hard he has it. Those singles are I Can Transform Ya and Crawl.

Florida band formed in high school in 2005 out with their second release after moderate success with the first. Another one of those bands that gained attention by putting their work on the internet. Whatever works I guess. The album was not bad. Unfortunately my best track was a duo with some guest vocalist, Demi Lovato. Maybe you guys should hire her. First single is heaven Can Wait, which was a standout for me.

Third album from Kenny Rogers first project, after achieving fame with the previous albums Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In). An awesome song. This album was before they plugged Kennys name at the front of the group. In fact there are only 3 tracks on here where Kenny takes the lead, the most notable being Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town, which would reach #6 in the U.S, only after it was re-released on an album of the same name. The single from this album of But You Know I Love You reached #19, with the album on peaking at #164.

Welsh singer rose to fame in the mid '60's and in the U.S. at least became one of those sex symbols. Hey, the competition was weak. Initially I was not a fan but he grew on me. This album was his sixth and the title track became one of his most successful singles reaching #11 U.S. and #1 in the U.K. with the album reaching #65 in the U.S. Although the song had already been a minor country hit, I always thought Tom did the best version. Problem is, the rest of the album pretty much sucks.

New York to the core, classically trained pianist Alicia burst on the scene with a #1 album and has never looked back. releases 2 and 3 also made #1, with Grammys to match. Will album #4 a;lso top the charts? We'll soon see. Didn't do much for me. A couple of songs maybe. If you didn't like Jay-z's rap on Empire State of Mind, try Alicia's solo version here which I loved. That same chorus that made a hit for Jay-z, with some additional lyrics. Apparently Jay-z was on this track also, but did not make the cut. He does appear on the album along with Beyonce. Two singles have already been released, Doesn't Mean Anything and Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart. As of now they are only making waves on the R&B chart.

Yes I listened to it. That's how I decide if I like something. I listen to it. I liked it. We all know the story by now. A feel good story. Old maid enters Britian's Got Talent and finishes in second place. With a helping hand from Simon no doubt, a recording contract ensues. The album comes out and shoots to #1 in both the U.S. and U.K. Fairy tale come true. Sure Susan Boyle appeared a homely spinster at her first audition. Was that all a put on? Was the shock and awe on the judges faces all fake. I don't think so. others do. Doesn't matter. This girl can sing. Is this album her last hurrah? Could be. Doesn't matter. She made her mark. Maybe video didn't kill the radio star after all. You go girl!
