RE: Covid-19 - Ruby - 09-05-2020 ^^Our numbers are just starting to spiral now - after 44 days in lock down. And so it begins. Everyone's champing at the bit to get back to work, which I understand completely, and get back to 'normal' which isn't going to happen anytime soon, and frankly, I'm not looking forward to being in crowded places, etc. and would rather just stay put! We don't know the full extent of this thing yet, IMHO. On the other hand, we are experiencing some irrationally heavy handedness on the part of the police and armed forces, and some seemingly illogical decision making by those on high, which is equally disturbing. All very noisy and stressful if you let it take you over. RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 09-05-2020 our Govt is allowing cafes/restaurants to open this week, but by area of floorspace can only have one dine-in customer per 4 square metres. looks like our Gyms/swimming pools/playgrounds etc follow suit in the next couple of weeks. my view is that its too early however well weve kept the virus at bay but like you said Ruby, people want to get back to work, go out etc (have freedom in general) RE: Covid-19 - Ruby - 09-05-2020 Our rules can be confusing and are subject to change, and in some areas it seems to be business as usual, but legally speaking, we are still under strict lock down regulations. The criminals are starting to come back though - there's a curfew on us all between 20h00 and 05h00 but they are slipping through the cracks and breaking into homes in the small hours. Not comforting. RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 09-05-2020 its funny you mention crime. I saw on CNN that the organised gangs (ie Irish/Italian Mafia) are getting a foothold back in places like NYC and Boston with their ability to procure household items residents in high density/low income housing areas cant get... obviously theres a price to pay, the interest will be higher and as per usual with these gangs the failure to pay will surely bring bloody retribution as a warning to others.....as if the Police haven't got enough to deal with at the moment! RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 11-05-2020 so Germany and South Korea eased restrictions a week or so ago and already theres been spike of cases in those countries. I think the rest of the world needs to take note here and stop their easing of restrictions before this spirals out of control again. its not rocket science, seriously, even Blind Freddie can see it RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 13-05-2020 is it just me or is the world going to have a baby boom come December LOL! RE: Covid-19 - Music Head - 13-05-2020 reminds me how did humans ever put together the act of sex and a birth who thinks 9 months ahead? I can picture some poor caveman sitting there thinking "how do I get blamed for this" RE: Covid-19 - Jerome - 13-05-2020 It all comes down to the swing of her hips. Once that grabs you, you're a lost cause... And it only takes 9 minutes instead of 9 months! RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 13-05-2020 ** nine minutes...that's optimistic LOL and MH, i'll get Scarlett to give you the 'birds and bees' talk !!! RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 13-05-2020 West Australian C-19 Stats as of 13 May 2020, 5pm AWST persons tested...…58,634 confirmed cases...…..553 patients recovered....538 current infections...…...6 deaths...…………………..9 persons in ICU...……….1 I guess it is a bonus living in the world's most isolated city sometimes! expecting cases to rise and tests to soar over the next three or four months with winter/flu season around the corner and restrictions being eased.. |
