Steve Marriott....
one of the top5 British male vocalists of all time IMO....
Small Faces.....
England's greatest band of the 1960s......
Steve Marriott....
Jimmy Page's first choice to front his then 'new' band...Led Zeppelin(Marriott turned it down for Humble Pie)

the housefire that killed him was officially put down to his apparent "falling asleep in bed whilst holding a lit cigarette"

their best single IMO:

Felice Bryant
died on this day in 2003. One half of a prolific husband and wife songwriting team along with Diadorious ‘Boudleaux’ Bryant. Between them, they earned 59 BMI country, pop and R&B awards, were inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame as well as the regular Songwriters HoF, the Country Music HoF and the Rockabilly HoF.

From wiki - “Felice was an elevator operator at the Sherwood Hotel and when she saw Diadorius Boudleaux Bryant, she recognized him immediately - she had seen his face in a dream she had when she was eight years old, and had "looked for him forever." She was nineteen when she saw him at a water fountain in the hotel, ran up and accidentally drenched him with water and offered to buy him a drink.”

The outcome of that was that Felice’s wrote "All I Have To Do Is Dream" which is very clearly autobiographical.

She and Boudleaux also wrote this –
