Politics - Lovely Linda - 20-09-2016 I didn't see where Trump identified the terrorist Oceansoul. When did he do that? As far as Trump calling the incident a bomb, Hillary called it a bombing. What I did hear Trump say about the attacks he was right. I know he gave money to Hillary in the past but he did that as a businessman not as he is today. Politics - Lovely Linda - 20-09-2016 I kind of like this story about the woman and the snake. Sounds familiar. Also apparently the unemployment rate in South Africa is +24%, wow. I spent some time in Cameroun - unemployment was 90% at the time. Politics - Oceansoul - 20-09-2016 Lovely Linda Wrote:I didn't see where Trump identified the terrorist Oceansoul. When did he do that? He patted himself on the back for assuming the attack was a terrorist bombing, how could he have known that if he wasn't a part of the investigation? He just assumed. It doesn't matter which candidate sounds the alarm, it is better to wait until there is some definitive evidence, JMO. Right now, I'm more concerned about how he feels about racial profiling now which he seems to support in the wake of these attacks. Politics - Oceansoul - 20-09-2016 Jerome Wrote:I spent some time in Cameroun - unemployment was 90% at the time. That's terrible :frown: Politics - Jerome - 20-09-2016 Some people were so poor they would be walking around the supermarket in the nude. I kid you not. Also heard of a case where kids use McDonalds fries containers for shoes. The poverty is staggering. All due to government corruption. Everyone thinks Africa is poor, and there are countries that are poor, but the majority have vast resources. The power and the wealth is held by a few government cronies. The people are forgotten. In the Congo, if your family do not bring you food if you are incarcerated - you starve. Pure and simple. Africa is a strange continent indeed. it has the means to feed the world if it was managed correctly and yet it can't feed itself. Like that clown Mugabe who has completely destroyed an entire country. Zimbabwe used to be the breadbasket of Africa - now it's the basket case of Africa. Inflation reached 500 billion percent at one point and they had to print 100 trillion dollar notes. Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 20-09-2016 100% correct Jerome.... Africa was the "cradle of civilisation", its now an empty cradle! Politics - Music Head - 20-09-2016 ...and if you try and help you're accused of nation building hell yes, we're trying to build you out of the poverty you live in Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 20-09-2016 no point helping anyway as just about everything that arrives in those countries gets taken by the military...lose-lose for the people China goes in to those African countries and says "we'll improve your infrastructure ie: roads, sewerage, electricity etc but in return you can dig the gold, iron, diamonds, rubies for us"...win-win for China! Politics - Music Head - 20-09-2016 CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:no point helping anyway as just about everything that arrives in those countries gets taken by the military...lose-lose for the peopletruth on that first part we do the infrastructure stuff too don't know about the gold, etc. even so, what's wrong with that? not like they would be getting nothing in return it's a trade off and a win for them also |
