What Did You Buy? - jazzboCR - 31-05-2015

I had forgotten this Thread existed or I'd have put these here: http://www.music-discussion.com/showthread.php/20577-Jazzbo-s-thingies-new-stuff-CDs-and-DVDs
I'm not really "he's all that" about myself. I'll be doing a burn and churn, putting them back up on the Usual Suspect. If you see something there I've listed and you want it, give me a shout via PM using your handle--we can work something out. << Just a notice, not a sales pitch.

Blackberry Smoke's title track is SO great. As for Mr. Gallagher..."Riverman" and "The Dying of the Light" are Fan-FREAKING-tastic!

What Did You Buy? - CRAZY-HORSE - 13-06-2015

thanks for the thumb-up Needle.....
i only heard three or four of the Blackberry Smoke tracks before i decided i'd heard enough to purchase it...
and i cannot recall if the title track was one of those....if it was then we agree, if it wasnt, then im in for a real treat when i play it!

ive been a fan of the "older" Gallagher since "dont look back in anger",which incidently is my favourite Oasis track....
i heard the album online when it came out,not that that made a difference because i'd have got it anyway.
and yes, "riverman" and "dying of the light" are fantastic tracks!

Vinyl shopping!

RORY GALLAGHER – Tattoo. Played some of this record in the shop – it promises excellent listening.

GERRY RAFFERTY – North and South. An album that had completely passed me by up to now – shocking! Lovin’ it - he really was a brilliant songwriter.
LEVEL 42 – Level 42. Mark King’s bass is just so upbeat and energizing – this is a super cool, classic album, IMHO.

I have both the Level 42 and Mr Rafferty's album - both great albums.

What Did You Buy? - Ruby - 05-07-2015

^Yes! I'm pleased with them all. Good to have affirmation.

I occasionally hit the yard sale market in search of vinyl. Copped some good vinyl in immaculate condition! Bought 7 albums, at a buck a piece! I couldn't resist this bargain. I couldn't go wrong with The Best Of , happy with my purchases. I am more than just metal! ...lol!
