RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-04-2020 P!NK "the truth about love" cd, 2012 Wow! 2012, time flies! anyway sixth of eight, I own them all, huge fan! worst thing about the album is the cover, I don't like it. three featured artists, Lily Allen, Nate Ruess and Eminem. loving just about everything on this one and liking the remainder. some pop, some ballads, and a couple of rock tracks. I LOVE THIS ALBUM I dont have a favourite so one of the singles randomly picked: RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-04-2020 CULTURE CLUB "colour by numbers" vinyl/cd 1983. their second of six I own the first two ballads, gospel, r+b, soul, pop all done to perfection. crystal clear production. ten million plus sales worldwide and thoroughly deserved IMO. big hits, Karma Chameleon, Church Of The Poisoned Mind. the thing that really makes this album are the powerful yet soulful backing vocals from Helen Terry, she left them after this one, so did I. this would, without a doubt, in my list of top 5 albums of the 1980s for sure loving eight of the ten track, liking the other two. I LOVE THIS ALBUM favourite, the third single. why was this not released in the US as a single??? if youre not familiar with the song give it a go, its a ballad not his usual pop style RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 06-04-2020 MICHAEL JACKSON "bad" cd, 1987. seventh studio album 35 million sales nine singles off it including 5 US #1 hits. solid album of pop, rock, funk, soul and dance. lyrics are getting really personal here as he is starting to comment on the media's relentless intrusion into his personal life and 'fake news' to sell newspapers, but that said, like it or not, the dude was starting to become erratic in his personal life. all up though, as much as I love Thriller, this is a superior album in just about every way. I LOVE THIS ALBUM favourite: superb live version and the superb 'short film' video: RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 18-04-2020 MADNESS "total madness" cd, 2009. only really needed this one as it came with a bonus dvd of their videos. started off as a Ska band from London, evolved into a pop group. were never really big outside of the UK as their subject matter was strictly British. album contains 23 tracks, 21 of which were singles, and most of those were sizable hits in their homeland, the remaining two tracks were/are band album track faves. pretty hard for me not to love this this as I can relate to a lot of the songs from my formative years in the UK as a child. I LOVE THIS ALBUM I don't really have a favourite track by these guys but I do love this one: Naughty boys in nasty schools Headmasters breaking all the rules Having fun and playing fools Smashing up the woodwork tools All the teachers in the pub Passing 'round the ready-rub Trying not to think of when The lunch-time bell will ring again. Oh what fun we had But, did it really turn out bad All I learnt at school Was how to bend not break the rules Oh what fun we had But at the time it seemed so bad Trying different ways To make a difference to... The headmaster's had enough to-day All the kids have gone away Gone to fight with next-door's school Every term, that is the rule Sits alone and bends his cane Same old backsides again All the small ones tell tall tales Walking home and squashing snails. Oh what fun we had But, did it really turn out bad All I learnt at school Was how to bend not break the rules Oh what fun we had But at the time it seemed so bad Trying different ways To make a difference to the days. Lots of girls and lots of boys Lots of smells and lots of noise Playing football in the park Kicking Pushbikes after dark Baggy trousers, dirty shirt Pulling hair and eating dirt Teacher comes to break it up Back of the 'ead with a plastic cup. Oh what fun we had But, did it really turn out bad All I learnt at school Was how to bend not break the rules Oh what fun we had But at the time it seemed so bad Trying different ways To make a difference to the days. Baggy trousers, baggy trousers, baggy trousers Baggy trousers, baggy trousers, baggy trousers and their infectious almost instrumental Ska debut single: RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 26-04-2020 SIMPLE MINDS "glittering prize 81/92" cd 1992 well that was a painful listen! a compilation. got a couple of their singles on vinyl from back in the late 1970s, a couple from the 1980s and this album. was never a big fan by any means. most of the songs on here sound dated but I still love this one (regardless of sounding like U2)!!! I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 26-04-2020 MICHAEL JACKSON "dangerous" cd, 1991 his eighth solo album 32 million worldwide sales more eclectic than his previous effort with dance, pop,R+B,soul, industrial, funk and jazz influences. nine singles off it including another five #1 hits. like or love half this album, the rest I can take or leave no problem. I LIKE THIS ALBUM: favourite: love his videos and love this 11 minute epic for the lead off single: RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 27-04-2020 LISA STANSFIELD "real love" cd, 1991 UK blue eyed soul singer. second album of eight, I own a couple. so pop. not as good as I remembered it to be. not really disliking anything but not loving anything neither. has a lovely voice its just that the songs are a bit bland and much of a muchness but... I LIKE THIS ALBUM favourite and biggest hit: RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 30-04-2020 ![]() ONE DIRECTION "take me home - yearbook edition" cd, 2012 UK boy-band second album of five over ten million worldwide sales. given to me by one of my step-daughter's to listen to... I begrudgingly accepted it as to not offend her. was more surprised than I thought I ever could be by these guys. a very, very good pop album that exceeded all expectations. I LOVE THIS ALBUM favourite: RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 30-04-2020 MADONNA "the immaculate collection" cd, 1990. seventeen track compilation. from when she still had some credibility. album sold 31 million copies worldwide. about half this album sounds dated to me, the rest is still bloody good pop! I LIKE THIS ALBUM favourite: RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-05-2020 BEE GEES "their greatest hits: the record" cd, 2001 never know where to put these guys, pop/dance, easy listening, folk??? anyway, two disk set, forty tracks. theyre one of probaby a handful of artists who a forty track set would be justified. love just about every track on here, really like the remainder. classy set from this Aussie trio. I LOVE THIS ALBUM no favourite track, first one that came up on YT when I typed in their name: |
