my mate flies out from Perth in about an hours time to Birmingham(UK), he's going to go from 105F/40C to a forecast of 60cm of snow, i got a feeling he may notice a slight change in temperature when he steps off the plane

ok, im not sure which town he comes from, i'll ask his son who i see at work every now and then, if not i'll find out after xmas, all i know is he comes from Birmingham and is a member of Birmingham City...as opposed to Villa,WBA...does that nattow it down for you Gryphon?

ps: Tiggi,Gryphon,Mr.soul your snow pics look inviting,i used to love snow when i was a child in Bedfordshire, but i guess it loses its enjoyment factor when you get older and is just plain COLD

Heavyish snowfall overnight, and the factory is closed, so I have a free day off.

Will post a couple of pictures I'll take when we take Floyd out for a walk...

It's snowing hard here and -6 or so..............they predict that we will get afull day of it.

I guess "Floyd' is a dog ? What sort is it ?

He's a Labrador cross. We've had him for a couple of years, after picking him up from a rescue kennel. Have never been able to see how such a lovely dog ended up as a stray ?!

Photo from when he first arrived. The shaved patch on his leg was due to his neutering op, before the kennel would rehome him. Poor dear !!

^That is one cute dog!!!!! How could that end up as a stray.

We too have a recsued dog:

She came out of an intensive breading place in Belgium.............When she was found she was at death's door covered in mess and left by the owners to die as she was no longer usefully for battery puppy making.
She was yellow and nearly bald when we first saw her.

She was taken by a breeder who spotted her and then given to the local Collie rescue...

We found her as we have had other rescued dogs from them. She had been cleaned medically sorted out ( She had vast ingrowing rear claws ! and various other problems .............I don't know how people could be so cruel to an animal and abuse it so much!) and several things that needed surgery................She was a low chance adoption ( She has been mentally abused ) but we have quite some experience with animals of that kind ................But now three months later she is slowly turning into a healthy and happy dog.

And if she is lucky this afternoon we will take here or walk and a play in the snow!Cool
