RE: Covid-19 - Ruby - 28-04-2020 Based on recent findings, it seems there's an awful lot we don't know about this virus and the ways it affects our bodies. We now have a Risk Adjusted Strategy which will be implement on 01 May, from Level 5, where we are now, to Level 1, in order to get some sectors of the economy up and running again. We'll move back and forth between levels as and when numbers dictate, in broader areas, theoretically. I dunno - too much for my pea brain to assimilate - so much information out there and soooo many differing opinions - it's exhausting! Whatever level we're at, the rules simply can't and therefore won't be consistently applied and adhered to purely due to our population being a demographic puzzle of note. I don't envy anyone having to make major decisions at this point. RE: Covid-19 - Jerome - 03-05-2020 Along with banning all live animal markets worldwide I think it's high time we closed all zoos, aquariums and circuses where animals are on display. The abuse of the animal kingdom has gone on long enough. They don't belong in enclosures, cages or theme parks. RE: Covid-19 - Jerome - 06-05-2020 A question for MH. On this side of the pond we are hearing a lot of stories about Americans not adhering to lockdowns etc. Is this correct or just bullshit reporting? RE: Covid-19 - SteveO - 07-05-2020 Canada is doing well ! On target but we have to increase our daily testing. I am wondering how much leeway they'll give us to celebrate Mothers Day as the family of five usually comes for a visit ! RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 07-05-2020 ^^ Mothers Day this upcoming Sunday here, our rules have been relaxed so maximum of 10 allowed in group gatherings. crook as a dog since last night unable to see GP until tomorrow morning. I know its a recurrence of Pneumonia because I cant stand the taste of coffee and am drinking English Breakfast Tea. a change in my tastebuds is the first sign of it in my personal experience, it takes the GP another three to four days to hear it in my chest, thankfully, he has been my GP for a number of years and trusts my judgement, I mean afterall, who wants to take tablets and antibiotics for no reason. just hoping that in this current climate that he doesn't dismiss me and orders me to go to the C-19 clinic for testing. "We are in a terrible, terrible moment." and: "People are hurting in a way that we have never ever seen in our lifetimes," RE: Covid-19 - Ruby - 09-05-2020 (09-05-2020, 03:38)CRAZY-HORSE Wrote: Roy Horn of Siegfried & Roy magician duo fame died this morning aged 75 from complications from C-19. Sorry about yet another passing, but seriously - the words tiger and pet should not appear in the same sentence! The one big misstep ELP made IMHO - having a tiger on the stage - not cool at all. RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 09-05-2020 Yup, totally agree. it will be interesting in a years time if a census could be conducted to determine the average age of humans currently living on the planet to what it was two years previously (just because most of the people who die from it are the elderly). |
