SteveO - itâs very nice â a beautiful, carefully considered instrumental album â incredibly relaxing and with not too much of the Celtic wail, which personally, I can only stand in small doses! Itâs undemanding though â didnât bowl me over, unlike another artist I discovered because of the Windham Hill label to which Nightnoise was signed â¦.

It's a distinctive logo, and I picked up a CD, saw the label (and the cover â itâs always the cover!) and bought it, having previously found out that Windham Hill were in the habit of signing some rather distinguished indie folk/acoustic/new age musicians (including Vangelis). As a result, I have ended up with Michael Hedgesâ hugely acclaimed Aerial Boundaries which is utterly magnificent.

Iâm embarrassed to say that heâs been unknown to me up to this point, and just in case anyone else doesn't know, he has a legendary reputation as a virtuoso solo acoustic guitarist and as a composer - sadly no longer with us. In this case, at least musically speaking, and for his sense of humour, the world is an infinitely poorer place. As a reaction against being referred to as a ânew ageâ musician because of his association with Windham Hill, he took to calling his music âheavy mentalâ, ânew edgeâ, âacoustic thrashâ, âdeep tissue gladiator guitarâ, etc. LOL! Take a look and listen to what he does â music starts at about 2.55.

another Dylan album, but one ive not ever heard previously...
i did hear the expanded version of demo's/outtakes from this one earlier this year and i liked what i heard,that one was called "another self portrait(bootleg volume 10)".
gotta be one of the worst album covers ever,up there(or more to the point,down there!) with NY's "landing on water"
