What Are You Listening To? - Ruby - 20-06-2014 An exceptional talent, IMHO. I could listen to him all day, and probably will. Shai Maestro - Angelo. What Are You Listening To? - jazzboCR - 21-06-2014 I agree that Mr. Sinclaire is a pleasant singer but to call him a jazz singer is to render the term meaningless. I hear no effort on his part to immerse himself in the lyric, to dig deep to find the inner being of the song nor his conception of it. He's a cut or two above the current torrent of tepid tenors but it's jazzy pop--no more. It's a deep insult to those who are jazz singers, both past (Mel Torme) or present (Mark Murphy. Kevin Mahogany, Mose Allison, Willie Nelson on occasion or to venture to the far shores of the outre, Leon Thomas). It is also an egregious back-slap at current female jazz singers (Anne Hampton Callaway, Cassandra Wilson, Bettye Lavette of late, Rebecca Parris and so many others). The only part of those 2 clips that's jazz is the band. I have a kvetch or 2 on some of their selections but look here for the Real Deal: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_male_jazz_singers What Are You Listening To? - SteveO - 22-06-2014 Thanks for your critique Jazz ! He's in that Michael Buble stable...poppy jazz ...the actual song I heard by him " I Found Love" is not in the Buble Connick Jr. style! It isn't available on YouTube, the song selections were not really representative of why I like him!..that's how I went...I still enjoy his voice and it fits into this sub forum music wise! What Are You Listening To? - Music Head - 23-06-2014 ![]() Recording History studio albums - 13 live albums - 4 compilation albums - 6 singles - 38 videos - 10 Grammy Awards - 3 from my library (cd) ![]() Producer: Arif Marden 8th album - #45 US, #55 UK, #51 AUS, #69 CAN Singles - To Deserve You ..........In This Life Must have been in the mood for this one, surprising myself once again. Nothing I don't like and 5 love tracks. Bette too 5 years off after her previous best selling Some Peoples Lives. Looks like this is her third best selling album, going Platinum here, but it took 5 years of sales to reach that. No singles helped it though, just her name I would say. I see that To Deserve You was remixed as a dance track and charted on that side. Don't even want to listen to that, it would ruin it for me. This was her last album for Atlantic after spending her entire career there. Bette has only had 4 albums since this and only 1 has even gone gold. The diva is memorable if only for Wind Beneath My Wings. Another artist I should have a cd compilation of. I LOVE THIS ALBUM Worst Track - It's Too Late Best Track - I Know This Town Track Listing 1.
