RE: What Are You Listening To? - JeromeD - 13-11-2021
Not quite the masterpiece that Oxygene was but a worthy successor nevertheless.

Going to spend the next couple of days going through my Tangerine Dream collection. Many albums here I have not heard in years.

I'm listening to Pete Bardens' Seen One Earth. Love it - it's just a bit short!
The album title originates from quote by astronaut Harrison Hagan Schmitt. He was on the surface of the moon with Eugene Cernan who pointed out the view of the earth saying "Hey, Jack (Schmitt's nickname) just stop. You owe yourself 30 seconds to look up over the South Massif and look at the Earth” to which Schmitt responded "Ah. You seen one Earth, you've seen them all."

pulled from the A.O.T.Y. chart
had to go 6 deep to hit a bad one for me
think I wandered into Ruby/Jerome territory
I'll get out now

One of my favourite JMJ tracks - just like the way it flows.

There are many who claim to compose 'ambient' music. Most of them cannot. But there are two albums I consider really ambient. One is 'Music for Films' by Brian Eno. This is the other one; https://youtu.be/b6fOioWZlV0
An interesting documentary. https://youtu.be/WTxkLGBkcO0

^I watched the documentary. Goes a little way towards explaining Roger's ability to hit all the right buttons! They have a great understanding, the brothers. Very interesting clip.
