A ploughman's lunch today - have not had one of these in ages AND - a BEER! Have not had a beer for about 4 months. Just had an absolute craving for a cold pint of beer. Had to settle for a cold bottle of Heineken instead. Lovely. Burp. Going to have a magic snooze this afternoon. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Conversely, all play and no work gives Jack a skinny billfold! It's a fine line we tread...

Saving the lives of various veggies that have been staring at me from the fridge shelves. Lol! It's soup weather.

Dani made her own concoction for dinner....savoury sausages. it has a tomato base to it and served with rice.
its one of those dishes I neither like nor dislike, it is just what it is, fuel for the body and we probably only have it twice a year.

It's not often you can say the weather is good in Ireland but today it just is. So it's going to be red, blue and white today. Red wine, blue cheese & fresh white rolls. Simple but so effective.

just wanted a quick 'throw it in the oven' kind of meal tonight so...
meat pies, veg and gravy tonight.
horrible pies, bought them from the frozen section of the supermarket.

found a recipe for a diabetic friendly baked strawberry cheesecake yesterday.
bought the ingredients and made it this morning.
had a slice earlier and it wasn't bad.

Polenta with a warm basil butter and parmesan. Perfectly balanced.  Rolleyes
