I think it's called Under The Dome
season 2 is set to debut next month here
pretty good show
wish they'd change the opening scene where the poor cow gets cut in half when the dome falls

I read IT...painfully boring and long! Otherwise I like King's movies!

is it going to actually conclude like it should, or will it become another lost series like "lost"?

Anyone going out today to a record store for Record Store Day? The closest store to me is just under 3 hours drive.... not going to make it again.
Not that I'm lacking for vinyl but it would be fun/nostalgic to go into a store for a new release on the release day. Some very interesting releases out there.

ive never been to a recprd store day event...!
last year i got my aunt and cousin to line up outside a store in the UK to get me a Paul Weller RSD single....
this year they couldnt do it as they were going away for the week because it is easter, i emailed the store to see if i could buy one online but i couldnt because that is not the way RSD workd apparently...
guessing i'll have to buy the vinyl single at an inflated price on ebay to keep my collection intact and complete.

All for under $30.

As for the King TV series, Under The Dome. I watched it. I was recommended the book about a week or two before I started school one summer, saw that it was 1,000 pages, and knew it was never getting read. So I was super excited for the show.

But the show's a trainwreck. The writing is awful. The acting is painful. The characters are all written to be unbelievably stupid. And of course, nothing makes any sense. (Inconsequential spoiler alert: Mid-way - 2/3 of the way through the first season, the main characters find that there's a woman in town, who nobody knew was actually in town. As if it wasn't bad enough that this "small town" had random people hiding around it, this mystery woman had apparently set up a fight club since the dome came down, and by the time the main characters learned of it and went to it for the first time, they saw that it seemed to attract more residents than the town even had. How in the blue flying hell did none of the main characters (there's probably somewhere close to 10, I don't want to be bothered counting) not know this existed? Especially when one character is an "investigative journalist" and the other is the town councilman? Its just mind-blowingly frustrating.). I like the overarching story (the "dome") but there's not much else about the show to write home about. I'll watch the 2nd season in hopes that the show concludes and laugh throughout the season, but if it drags on any longer, I'll have to find something more productive to do with my time.
