What Did You Buy? - LMD - 19-03-2014

Been waiting for this for a few weeks. Picked it up in mp3 format last night before I went to sleep so I could listen to it while I worked on my motion at school.

Really been getting into this as of late so figured I'd buy it while already buying something else.

King should be entertaining Crazy! The Pauline Hanson book looks good if you're into politics. I am and I briefly read her wiki bio! Quite a lady I'd say!

School's coming... There's another week of 2 of classes, then finals, and then one last year before I'm finally done. Yay.

Honestly don't know much about Beard. I know he played keyboards at some point with the last Mahavishnu Orchestra. I did some looking around after that and found "Revolutions." Its a real feel-good album. All instrumentals with Beard on keyboards and an orchestra backing him. Its really nice and mellow. Some stuff sounds nice and sweet and some stuff is really upbeat and happy. Its tough for me to describe what he's about. I just really like that album. Its fun.

How's the King novel Crazy? I read "The Mist" by King a while back and really enjoyed it. I think its the first, and only, thing I've read from King. Told myself when I have time I'd have to read more of his stuff.

^^
The Stand is his best work for me

What Did You Buy? - CRAZY-HORSE - 18-04-2014

i went off Stephen King in the mid 1990s when i couldnt get "into" Insomnia.

thought "it","the stand", "the green mile", "thinner","misery" and "delores claireborne" were his best novels.
"four past midnight" was a very good collection of four short stories also....

best movies IMO:
"misery"
"shawshank redemption"
"the green mile"
"the mist"
"dreamcatcher"
"stand by me"

"delores claireborne" was also a pretty good movie, starred Kathy Bates as an abused wife, this one was made a year after the James Caan/Kathy Bates classic "misery"
