Top 100 canadian albums - SteveO - 24-11-2011
I am not a fan of "best" lists because they are subjective...each person has their own favorites and they change frequently. Also "best" lists are usually incomplete in that they almost always omit very good albums for some reason or another ?
We can all benefit from each other's recommendations... a major purpose of MD !
This list is a good reference for Canadian albums that have gained some notoreity in the music world and may spark the interest of our MD members to revisit or initially visit the album.
..or say I didn't know they were from Canada ?

Yuppers, Trace..from Montreal although I think the lead singer Win Butler (reminds me of a polished Neil Young singer) is originally from Texas. He married a member of the band....Regine Chassagne..a French Canadian. I prefer Suburbs a little more than the Funeral album but both are great...they are a favorite of Neil Young and he makes guest appearances with them occassionally !

I've never encountered anyone else who's heard Miss America. It's one of my favourites too...
Love her stuttering vocals, and the music is gorgeous. Chronic stage-fright sufferer, also.

I think, despite the stage-fright, she turned to acting for a while.
