I've got the sweet sound of the 'Soul Queen of New Orleans', Irma Thomas:

It was Irma who did the 'original' of Pain in My Heart - Ruler of My Heart.

This link may show how MD (Music Discussion) used to look before the rebrand... To some it maybe of comfort. To others a nightmare ::

Gidday from Portland in New South Wales, Australia.
I was the long time Site Manager as well as Moderator of the Jazz & Blues boards at the old Music Discussion.
I must admit that it is good to see the name still up and active and back to what the original started out as - a forum for music lovers to talk about their passion for the various styles of music.
A bit has changed since those days with the discovery twelve months ago that I have a life threatening disease and the loss of my darling wife, Shirley to pneumonia in August 2007. These days I don't nearly as much time online as I did back then.

Take care all,
Beach ::

Personally, I have seen the following during my university years, and from the odd occasion when I used to go clubbing.

• Dave Pearce

• Tim Westwood

• Brandon Block

• Pete Tong

• Lisa Lashes

I would like to know your thoughts. Please post your reasons as well.

Hello,

My name is Anthony, and I used to be a former member of the old MD before the rebrand.

Look forward to meeting a few familiar faces again. ::

To make the site more interesting and a little different from the norm, the placement of quotes were used around the site. Some by famous people and some not.

Some of the quotes used are weak, and can easily be improved. But good research is something I am not brilliant at. Please use this thread to help improve the site by giving any quotes that you can think of, ideally by famous people.

I would like to be the first to welcome you to the all new, all fresh musical discussion forum. The site has gone back to basics to offer the best discussion experience for music lovers around the world.

Please sign up and discuss all your favourite artists and meet some of the wonderful members to make Music Discussion different.
