personally i think theyre amazing

Not sure what happened but I swear I used to have a membership to a forum of a similar name. Thought I'd look it up again and ended up here. LOL

In any case, I love music of all kinds but primarily rock/alternative type. Favorite artists would include R.E.M., Neil Young, U2, Talking Heads, Elvis Costello. There are a lot more but it would take too long to list them all.

Nice to be here.

A few things/people that I find funny:

- The idea of combining the desire to entertain with the infliction of self-damage: Jackass & their copyist hordes.

- A number of stand-up comedians: Eddie Izzard & his hilarious stream of consciousness improvisations; Simon Amstell & his biting sarcasm; Bill Hicks' anti-establishment ranting; & Billy Connoly's sheer lust for life humour.

- Fresh & unusual TV shows: Despite its' age, Monty Python's Flying Circus; Also despite its' age, Fawlty Towers; Sacha Baron Cohen's various uber-cringe-making shows; Rick Gervais' ditto (Watching the Extras Xmas special last night triggered this thread).

- Quick wit: friends' rapid & side-splitting responses. My mate is very gifted in this department, & Oh how we laugh !!

What do you find funny ???

So...

Jay Z is headlining at Glastonbury this year.

Ticket sales are struggling, and there are complaints that rap doesn't fit with the Glastonbury spirit.

Is this a poor choice of headliner, or are Glastonbury trying to move with the times ??

Went to see Radiohead at Victoria Park in London on Wednesday. Brilliant gig, including classics from every stage of their career. The band played their hearts out.
