Spotify listen:
i was advised by Ruby a few weeks ago when i mentioned the upcoming release that his re-recordings really arent up to par...
i should have listened, well actually i did listen but was still curious because i love the original.
he has jazzed, bluesed, and turned these tracks every which way away from where they should be.
wishing i hadnt listened on one hand but glad i did on the other at the same time.
you cant recreate the past into something more than it originally was, period.

Absolutely bloody awful. When you have created a fantastic body of work - leave it alone.
It's like taking the Mona Lisa and painting a mustache on it. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
I will certainly not be wasting any money on this rubbish.

^^Lol - surreal - literally.
I can only think Yusuf/Cat's finances need a boost although I don't see how this will help! People have really lost the plot a bit this year.

Probably aimed at an audience who haven't, and never will, listen to the original. Maybe it'll work for them.
