Post Emancipator (American Trip Hop artist)

Thanks to DragonFuel for introducing me to this fantastic artist who bears more than a little resemblance to that of DJ Shadow.

He's been on the scene since 2006 when at the age of 19 he released his Japanese produced debut album 'Soon It Will Be Cold Enough' which according to his official myspace page, shifted sales of 5,000 copies in the first week alone.

He has a new album out called 'Safe In The Steep Cliffs' of which I have been listening to several tracks on his myspace page.

Music is very deep and dreamy like that of DJ Shadows but with more of a free spirited natural feel to it due to it not being entirely constructed of samples of other records (not a criticism!).

As you can tell, I don't know an awful lot about this artist and I'm just starting to ramble here but I was that impressed with the previews that I thought it should be brought to the MD community's attention!

Follow this link where you can stream several of his new tracks on his webpage.
