I'm entirely new to all this so forgive me if I appear a little green.
I was looking at Bill Drummonds 17 he kinda suggests that recorded music is over. That the genre of recorded music was exploited by the free market and has nothing to do with place or time. But what if you stumble upon a dusty peaice of vinyl that speaks to you? I know that when I listen to 'Rock n' Roll Nigger' by Patti Smith that it does something to my brain chemistry and it's a very powerful feeling. Perhaps recorded music can't change anything en masse but perhaps it can provoke thought and feeling in the individual.
ANYWAY, very nice to virtually meet you. I also like Joanna Newsome, Claire Nicolson and Bette Harris. Must be the least known on that list so check her out!
Speak to me if you're out there!
