    Alter Bridge "the last hero"

    Metal band....
at least it is real singing and not screams or growls!,
vocals have an Axl Rose quality about them in a lot of places...
I love GnR but I really don't need this, it sounds too messy IMO

I read a review that said this album "tries too hard." I think that's the best way to describe it. It's just non-stop straight ahead rock with nothing else. It feels almost generic. There's some really cool stuff on it (I LOVE the intro to "Show Me A Leader"), but overall, it just feels really flat after their 3 amazing prior albums (especially coming right after the atmospheric "Fortress"). Disappointed in this one. Still a good album, but probably not going to get as many spins as any of their others (minus their Creed-lite debut).

enters the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart this week at #8

    Spotify spin

seems that bob is quite familiar with this band
I didn't even know they were a Creed spinoff
this Kennedy guy has a good rock voice
I read where he teamed up with Zeppelin members for an un-released project
    curious about that
a decent album here for me
it fits in the "my kind of metal" genre

I like the clip CH posted but this is
the single and the track bob mentioned

One of the better bands I have listened to in the past five years or so! Live at Wembley is very good!
" WHEN I WAS FIVE YEARS OLD, MY MOTHER ALWAYS TOLD ME THAT HAPPINESS WAS THE KEY TO LIFE. WHEN I WENT TO SCHOOL, THEY ASKED ME WHAT I WANTED TO BE WHEN I GREW UP. I WROTE DOWN "HAPPY". THEY TOLD ME I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE ASSIGNMENT AND I TOLD THEM THEY DIDN'T UNDERSTAND LIFE."
