    have you noticed that metal albums nowadays don't have the same artwork as they used to, I mean in the old days you could tell an album was hard rock/metal from the coverart

    Erm, I see a lot of different kinds of artwork from metal bands, they tend to differ based on their target audience and their expectations, though lately I've come across cover artwork that might not give away a band's genre at face value. Bands like Every Time I Die are metalcore so they can vary between looking commercial or more "metal" depending on the band, I've noticed.
