Slayer and Megadeth will tour America together for the first time since 1991, launching a slate of 19 U.S. dates in Seattle on Jan. 18, 2010. Fellow metal veterans Testament are set to support. Check below for a complete list of dates and a video teaser for the tour.

The announcement comes just two weeks after Slayer had to scrap a Canadian and European tour after frontman Tom Araya underwent back surgery on Nov. 3.

The band said their 48-year-old frontman has made "substantial improvement" since his surgery, and while they hoped to honor their November touring commitments in Europe, they decided to make Araya's recovery their priority.

Tickets for the Slayer/Megadeth tour go on sale Nov. 19 at 10 P.M., and will include a select number of $10 tickets at every show. Also, the cancelled Canadian dates have been rescheduled and tacked onto the end of the U.S. tour.
