Default Tony Bennett's Main Man has died

His accompanist, arranger and music director, Ralph Sharon, died March 31. The 2 had a close association for 50 years but Mr. Sharon had his own career too.: Here's an obit:
Mr. Sharon did lots on his own with significant guests--not vanity productions, solid mainstream jazz. Tugs at my heartstrings and keeps me alert-relaxed. << Gerry Mulligan on the album << Sultry and sexy << He was all over the map...and that's a good thing << Ray Charles did not have a lock on jazzy C&W << A darned fine session--all solid players

SEMI-BONUS: Full though short album: << Kept his independent career right from the start

A man accustomed to hear only the echo of his own sentiments, soon bars all the common avenues of delight, and has no part in the general gratification of mankind--Dr. Johnson
    What he said. Amen, Bro--JazzboCR
