I play bass and backup guitar and did some backup singing. I worked with the man who made electronic amplification of voice practical - Charley Butten. Charley got the Emmy Award for Lifetime Achievement in Sound or some such thing a couple of years ago. I got a concussion several years ago and the medicine I have to take now takes away the sensitivity in my fingertips so that's that. Now I can only appreciate what used to be good music. And that covers quite a wide range from French cafe' musicians to Eddie Heywood and Glenn Miller to Rock and Roll to Opera. An artist is an artist. Or was until the last decade or so where no one seems to know what they're doing and gets applause for it.
