    Default Mose Allison

Hard to think of a Blues artist, especially a vocally-oriented White Blues artist, that has influenced as many Rock and Blues artists, Black or White (see the bio for details). Always been humanist, big-picture oriented and always with a sense of humor. His music speaks for itself. His first record, though with only 2 vocals came smokin' out of the hole--his 10-part "Back Country Suite" speaks volumes about him and his background. He no longer tours so that time has passed, but we have all his distinguished history of live perfs to remember him by. Ladies and Gentlemen--Mr. Mose Allison.: << Know anybody like this? No? Aren't you blessed... << My mantra << these 2 from the '70's << Both Van Morrison and Georgie Fame have cited Mt. Allison as a major influence * and same tune 40 years later: << When's the last time you heard a fun, witty love song? << talk to me, Brother << Everybody's got these clogging up their lives or arteries

BONUS 1: his first album featuring vocals: << yes, that uploader's screen-name is offensive. No way to block.
    * BONUS has Ben Sidran--all 3 are sharp cookies and monster music makers & shakers: << The music is as palpable as a Low-Country Mississippi fog.
A man accustomed to hear only the echo of his own sentiments, soon bars all the common avenues of delight, and has no part in the general gratification of mankind--Dr. Johnson
    What he said. Amen, Bro--JazzboCR
