If you have a few years on you, you'll remember her as the '60's "bad girl", the very equal of Mick and the "bad boys". They got away with it; she got scorn. Well, ever since she has held addictions to a draw, she has been making terrific music. Don't trust me on this--look at the record: http://www.allmusic.com/artist/maria...07/discography Here's her bio: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marianne_Faithfull
Point of this Thread: she has a new album, Give My Love to London, that has gotten very positive reviews--here's one from a respected site: http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/...ove-to-london/ << I'll leave you to find tunes from it and her previous significant, magnificent catalog. Happy hunting. She does have a different kind of voice but well-suited to her material. And, yes, "Faithfull" really is her birth name.
