Not content with being a master multi-instrument musician, singer-songwriter, band founder (Foo Fighters, the supergroup Them Crooked Vultures *), propulsive force in another (Queens of the Stone Age), Mr. Grohl in 2012 did a superior 2-hour documentary on an important studio in Southern California. Of particular note there is an analogue soundboard known to be drummer-friendly (Neve 8028). Having made his docu creds on this, he's moved to an HBO series to start soon. In it, he goes from city to city, exploring the music roots of that city through current musicians (nothing dry and dusty about this, no, Buddy). I'm pumped and here's a promo clip to get you there:

Dave Grohl: A much-needed man for our time http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Grohl << one of those people that you can't wait to hear what the next project will be. Incidental Intelligence He's done well by doing good; one report has him the 3rd wealthiest drummer (behind Ringo and Phil)--net worth = $225 Million...and well-earned.
