Dance With My Father- Luther Vandross

    I'm already there- Lonestar
When I Get Where I'm going- Brad Paisley

This has nothing to do with death but it always makes me happy
    Play Three Again- Backseat Goodbye
32 Ways To Make You Smile- Backseat Goddbye

    Tears In Heaven- Eric Clapton
Holes In The Floor Of Heaven- Steve Wariner

"Smile" by Charlie Chaplin, it's one of the most beautiful songs I know of.
"As Tears Go By" by The Rolling Stones is also very beautiful.

As immortaloldshool. mentioned, "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton. Also by Eric Clapton is "My Father's Eyes", although that might just be a little too much for her right now.

If nothing else, you can probably Google the lyrics for any of the songs, that should give a bit of understand what the song is all about. =)
"All the truth in the world adds up to one big lie."
    -Bob Dylan
