I'm Norwegian, and I am a session musician.
I joined up here in a hope that this is a place where I can discuss music in a friendly environment with like minded people as well as people of different opinion, and I have yet to be convinced of otherwise.
You see, music has always been my biggest interest outside of the regular playing field, you know, ladies and booze (Think it's pretty obvious I'm a metal head by now), and at the age of 8 I started to play the guitar, at the age of 16 I could play most Pink Floyd material by heart (Not as good with the bending, mind) and after reaching my goals I decided I wanted to play the drums, and now, 2 years later I am a drummer helping out in the evening as a session musician in my local area.
Though I'm 18, don't take me for a standard teenager "I only like what's on MTV" kind of guy, I'm pretty much cool with anything from any era. Oh, and I also got an irrational dislike of genre purists, there are two genres in music, good music, and bad music.
Outside of music I am currently finishing my last year before university, where I'm going to study economy and leadership, but back to the music.
As previously stated I am primarily interested in metal, the complex kind, and amongst my favorite bands are power metal bands with a progressive and orchestral influence. (No guitar wankery please)
- Kamelot (Gig 22'nd of May - Trondheim Rock Fæst, can't wait!)
- Conception (R.I.P)
And other more thumping forms of metal, and the "leather boots and motorcycles metal" if you like.
- Chrome Division
(And just about anything featuring Lemmy Kilmister)
Non metal favorites include.
- Electric Six!
- Pink Floyd
- The Hooters
I hate talking about myself, so I'm just about done with my introduction.
Now what about you?
And nice to meet you!
