The Who Half Time Show! Comments?
The Who Half Time Show at Superbowl 44!! I think The Who did a great job at the Half Time show. I was hooked when I heard Pinball Wizard! Roger Daltrey's scream that filled the stadium, and Pete's wild and crazy arm twirl on his guitar! WOW, that was great. They still rock! WHO ARE YOU? What did you think?

kept waiting for a CSI whatever episode to begin
from billboard

The Who, the iconic British rock band that are one of the remaining working group's of its generation, took the stage for the Superbowl halftime show in Miami, Fla. and delivered a solid, if expected medley classic rock hits.
The annual Superbowl half time concert has become one of rock's highest profile gigs, with U2, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Prince, the Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney each taking the stage in recent years. The medley format is not unusual for artists with such a deep catalogue - Springsteen and Prince took a similar approach.
As in years past, the band was matched with an impressive light show, including a wide array of lasers and several blasts of pyrotechnics. The Who performed on a huge circular stage that played on the band's recognizable bulls-eye logo, although this year, no fans were allowed on the field.
If the past is any indicator, The Who's halftime hits medley will give the band a big sales boost. Last year, Bruce Springsteen used his appearance to mark the release of "Working on a Dream," which hit stores the week before the big game. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 on the week culminating with Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 1, 2009), and stayed at No. 2 the following week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Still Groovey!
I think it's quite amazing to see great musical icons still performing together after what must be 50 years! (Albeit without Keith and now John.) The people at Superbowl were quite privileged. (Isn't Superbowl the American football final or similar?)
I used to go to a local Garage in Northamptonshire in the 80'sand the guy that worked there knew Roger Daltrey well. He used to phone him up so we could all say hello! How annoying that must have been!

Sorry, but the medley format is kind of cheesy and "Who for Dummies." Good thing they had "Who are you" circling them in giant letters to remind us what song they were playing.
Pete's guitar work was off, even with back-up players to cover his mistakes. It's like he came just to pick up the check, which is probably what happened.
On the plus side, Roger's voice was in fairly good shape and in tune. And I guess I'd complain even more if they had some pop diva instead.
Good effort on Roger's part, but I think I'd rather watch old clips from their prime years.
