It's always exciting when you join a new band.
Another possibility for those who are also looking to join is search the internet. There are quite a few sites that have places where you can post or respond to posts looking for musicians.

Craiglist is the place to find tons of musicians.
Just remember, since you're going to be adding 3-5 people to your band, you may need to diversify your music style; bands don't function well when only person's music interests are reflected!
