I took violin for a few years, but my experience with my instructor was not the best; it has left me weak in very fundamental areas. I've taught myself piano since early spring, but I have trouble with bass clef and chords (since I never used much of either with violin). As for my singing; well it's fun to karaoke in my car, but that's about it.

Overall, my confidence as a musician has completely shattered. =T
I still play mind you, but just not in front of anyone.

I've played the flute for about 10 years now (still not very good), I used to sing in choirs at school and church. I know the very basic tenets of "playing" piano (I know the notes, can read bass clef, etc). I'm currently looking into the possibility of starting another instrument... but I have no idea when I'll be able to afford anything like that anytime soon.

initial outlay on instrument and sheet music, subsequent lessons, instrument upkeep (services, reeds/ strings, cleaning materials etc) all cost a lot and I'm poor. So it will have to be just a dream until I can afford to seriously factor all costs.

I'll shut up now.
