Thanks for all of the recommendations. I downloaded the NWW album and will listen to it tonight, probably. I've been meaning to get into them forever. What do you think of Current 93? My brother got a hard copy of one of their albums and I'm thinking of giving it a listen.

DNA is another great band on the compilation. Arto Lindsay's guitar playing is great.

You need to listen to James Chance & The Contortions, especially their stuff on No New York if you can find it. They're badass. Think of a mix between James Brown-esque funk, Ornette Coleman, and punk.

Have you seen any of Tartovsky's movies? I saw Solaris a week or two ago... Very beautiful film.

Yeah. I've never read any reviews that discussed the merits of the film that were written in American magazines. They always just focused on how offensive the opening scene was.

One of my best friends has seen Dogville of his and said it was very good. I remember rifling on wikipedia through the movies being released this year back in 2008 and seeing Antichrist and thinking it looked good. The trailer looks really amazing. There's nowhere that plays it around here so I'll have to wait until it goes out on DVD.

I rented "Night on Earth" by Jarmusch on Netflix last night... Is this one any good?

I just listened to "Schism/Prism" (or rather watched the live video) by Master Musicians of Bukkake. It was amazing. I'm glad there's still music like that about.
