    Can you be more specific?

List some Downtempo artists, DJ's, albums, DJ mix series or tracks you already know and like.

Let me be by myself in the evenin' breeze
And listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees

    Mono - Life in mono
Chemical Brothers - Where Do I begin
Chemical Brothers - Asleep from day.

I am not sure if the Chemical Brothers mentioned above are downtempo..

Also Don't what to classify it as but I like Moby's Porcelain..

Okay, so Downtempo from the late 90's, but not Trip-hop per se.

Beth Orton sang on some of the Chemical Brothers downtempo songs. You might check out her work. Try the songs She Cries Your Name and Someone's Daughter off her first album.

You might also like Everything But the Girl. Some good songs are Before Today, Walking Wounded and The Heart Remains a Child.

    Thanks for the suggestions..

I always wondered what's the difference between Trip Hop & Downtempo.
I also like Lebanese Blonde by Thievery Corporation.

Trip-hop fits within the larger style of Downtempo. Also, Trip-hop is largely time-specific meaning it was a scene in the 90's. Downtempo can also refer to styes like ambient-house, instrumental hip-hop, (slower) drum n' bass, etc.

I like all of theivery corporation. Some of it sounds more reggae than downtempo, but the Om Lounge album is my favorite. Jazzanova and Lemon Jelly are a couple other favorites that come to mind hmm Ministry of Sound and Kruder /Dorfmeister too.

you could try Telefon Tel Aviv - Immolate Yourself, or it's doesn't get much more laid back than Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works
