Thread: Carnival of the animals

of Saint Saens. Which animal performed do you enjoy listening to the most?

For me, I still have memories of performing 'The Elephant' on the double bass at school performances. So that will always stick in my mind, plus I enjoy listening to the deep sound of the bass.

Fossils. The marimba just sounds so much fun! :D

Also a big fan of the elephant, but the swans is probably my favourite. So relaxing, can calm me in any situation.

The carnival of the animals was my first love of classical music as a child.

The Carnival of the animals is a must for children, how can a child not like the music. There are enough different instruments/animals to suit everyone's tastes.

My personal favorite too. Very refreshing!

I still can't believe that so many people consider Swans a single piece and don't know it's the part of "Carnival", by the way.
