Rothko Chapel 3 by Morton Feldman; interesting to hear ambient music done in a classical situation.

These are wonderful works, and I think that they are amongst the highest achievments the human race has ever produced.

    Hi Baz (?!),

    thought we'd lost you !!

There isn't a great deal of Orchestral traffic here, but I'm glad you're still around.

The Cello Suites certainly are spellbinding pieces of music...

I'm listening to J.M Ravel's Piano Works Volume 1 - Pavane Pour Une Infante Defunte.

I'm trying to expand who I listen to since I've been known in the past to be keen to strings and full symphonic orchestrated pieces

Hauschka - Nadelwald from Ferndorf [2008]

His real name Volker Bertelmann. He is a modern composer. He plays his pieces on prepared piano. On this album he is accompanied by the occasional strings.

    Hi Tiggi,
I'm still around, cos' I'm not going anywhere that I don't want to! The Bach suites have a fascination and a challenge in that I spent some years trying to play them on double-bass.
