And listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees
Send me off forever but I ask you please

It is not necessary to post as to why you voted the way you did, but it would be interesting to the rest of us.

As we bid A Farewell To Kings of ages gone by, let's sing a Madrigal to our Cinderella Man and hope it brings us Closer To The Heart that we have implanted in our robot, Cygnus X-1, and pray that he doesn't make us watch Xanadu again.

Not a huge Rush fan. In fact, my token Rush album is the live Exit ... Stage Left, which doesn't count for this poll.
I used to have a copy of Fly by Night, so I've voted for that...

I was back in the day, but became disillusioned when they went 80s-synth after Moving Pictures.
I picked Permanent Waves, but my second choice would probably be their first album. To this day, I still like it, even though many seem to hate it for being too hard-rock and not progressive enough.

I love them all. This is very difficult as RUSH is one of my 3 favorite bands.
MOVING PICTURES
A perfect album. Power, prog, listener friendly and iconic songs. They nailed this one beginning to end.

Rush is one of my favorite bands as well, and my ideals as far as being a band together and constantly reinventing themselves for about 4 decades is concerned. Moving pictures was the first Rush album I heard, and YYZ blew me away, and made me want to be Neil Peart. It drew me to exploring everything by this band and be a loyal fan since '87. It remains my favorite by Rush

Lots of excellent Rush songs but, for me, Moving Pictures was a masterpiece. The album has is nearly its own entity. Geddy Lee is a genius.
