And listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees
Send me off forever but I ask you please

I haven't heard much of Bruce Springsteen's earlier stuff album wise (earliest I've heard is Nebraska) but 'Lucky Town' is my personal favourite. Just brilliant.
Such a raw & inspiring, uplifting song:

sorry, but i cant vote on a 'best' Boss album, they are all good, all have 3 or 4 great songs and a couple of duds also, but he is,overall, consistantly good, at the moment my vavourite ones to listen to are 'working on a dream' and 'the rising' last month it was 'nebraska' and 'darkness on the edge of town'. just depends on my moods at the time.
i recently got 'london calling', the live blu ray set, i reccomend it to any 'rock' fan....the e-street band still rock as good as anyone in the music business!!!!

I have to agree with you when it comes to the Boss. It depends on my mood but he's always good :)

Too bad, my favorite is not on any of the albums mentioned here. I am not sure which album it comes from, but it is Bruce Springsteen's "Cadillac Ranch". Doesn't he also sing "Glory Days"? I like that one and "Born in the USA".

Cadillac Ranch comes off the brilliant double album "the river"
Glory Days comes off the equally good "born in the usa" album
Since the word got out, from the north down to the south
No-ones left in doubt, theres no fear about
If we all hold hands and very quietly shout
"hallelujah!"
God is in the house,God is in the house
Oh, how i wish He would come out
God is in the house
NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS "god is in the house" from the album:"no more shall we part",2001

The Ghost of Tom Joad - an absolute masterpiece.

I agree with Mr. Soul, he doesn't have a bad one, One of my favorite artists, let's just hope politicians finally realize Born in The USA isn't a patriotic song to advertise with, makes them look really dumb to the people who aren't ignorant to the fact
