    Nice thread concept.
Funny thing . For the firts time in years , I listened to the album , The Beatles [the white album] . Though I did once mention that all are pretty good , that is one album where very little is worth listening to .

I was surprised it came out as good as it did here. I like about half of it, which means I think it should not have been a double album.

I almost agree, but I think more than half the songs are keepers. I could do without the Honey Pies, Revolution 9, and a few others, but I wonder if the mood of the album would be the same without the creepy, sleepy songs.

It's my favorite, though it took me a while to warm up to it. The first time I heard it, after listening to most of their other albums, I found it dark and uneven. I had been used to tight albums which were full of pop classics. I think the spookyness and chaos is part of what eventually made me a fan of the White Album, for some reason.

My second would be a toss-up between Revolver and Abbey Road. Revolver because it has songs like Eleanor Rigby, Got to Get You..., and a few others that were light years ahead of everything in terms of songwriting, lyrics, instrumentation, and production. Abbey Road because it had a warm, friendly feel, two pure and simple classics from Harrison, and the medley.

I am a huge Beatle fan so, just picking one album as a favorite was difficult. I went with Rubber Soul.

Default This was a tough one

For me it was a toss up between Abby Road and the White Album. After taking the poll myself, I was the tie breaker sending the White Album to the top position. I guess a lot of us feel the same way.

    Default White Album for me

Its light, its dark, its silly, its twisted. Whats not to like?
