2 heart shaped box
3 rape me alive

Do you mean Rape Me (live)? Or Rape Me (Saturday Night Live)?
Nirvana didn't create grunge. I've got the feeling you weren't born yet when Nirvana was around or were too young to be aware of them. They just popularized it. They have some good songs but to be honest I think they're way overrated.
Some of my favorite songs are Aneurysm, Sliver and Scentless Apprentice.

if i wasnt born yet then wouldnt i be to young dor the site but i was young and all my musical opinions are suprisingly my own i dont take my dads or anything like that like most kids my age do and i just ment rape me

Grunge is a poppy bastardization of the work of Scratch Acid, Jesus Lizard, (The) Melvins, and "My War" era Black Flag.

Everyone thinks they're great because of the dumbass Kurt Cobain blowing his brains out (q.v. James Dean for similar vulgarisation).
Best song: Beeswax

Yes, it can do wonders for your popularity to die an unnatural death and/or at a young age. I just realized I'm older now than Kurt Cobain was when he died. Weird.
I think Nirvana would have followed the Pearl Jam career path if Cobain hadn't died. They would have gradually become less popular. Still able to have gold selling records, but not platinum, if you know what I mean. Or they would have just broken up.

i agree you with there a lot of grunge bads seem to make a couple platinum albums then just become less popular
foo fighters are the next in that line

Except the Foo Fighters aren't a grunge band. Not anymore. They started off that way, since David Grohl was obviously such a big part of that scene. Their sound has changed some over the years. Grunge is one of those subgenres that is very time and place specific. It covers about ten years from the mid-eighties until the mid-nineties in the american northwest. Then after that there were several bands heavily influenced by grunge as modern rock radio milked that sound for all it was worth. Bush is a good example of the boring, bland sludge that came out of it.

Not to be mistaken for the Sludge genre.

Sludge can save rock and roll...
Not really, but some of the bands are still pretty cool from what I've heard.
